How To Help

Volunteer

ADTS relies heavily on community support to meet the growing needs of older adults and adults with disabilities in Rockingham County. Therefore, we have a variety of ways you can get involved with our programs and services throughout the year.

Volunteers

Volunteerism is good for us, good for our clients and good for you! Participating in meeting the needs of the Rockingham County community enables you to make a difference regardless of the time you have for giving. A little or a lot…your talents and experiences will help provide important resources right where they are needed!

Corporate Volunteerism

Your organization can make a difference outside the office walls by serving as corporate volunteers. You will see, firsthand, the need in your community and provide services to address it. Volunteering can be an effective team building opportunity boosting employee morale and building corporate goodwill in the community.

Special Projects

Many businesses choose to arrange special projects that benefit one or more programs throughout the year. This could include:

  • Making/Delivering Valentine’s Day Cards for Seniors
  • Sponsoring a Meals on Wheels Route for a day/week/month
  • Collecting items for winter emergency meals
  • Creating holiday gift bags In-kind donations of supplies/equipment
