Meals on Wheels is a community-based program, relying on more than 150 volunteers to ensure meals are delivered Monday-Friday all throughout Rockingham County. We have two delivery programs, dependent upon location:

Inside the City Limits

Hot meals are delivered Monday – Friday before the noontime hour.

Outside the City Limits
You will be placed on our frozen meal program which has distribution points throughout the county. Meals are picked up by a family member or delivered by a volunteer every two weeks.

Program Eligibility
In order to qualify for the Meals on Wheels program you must meet the following criteria:

  • Rockingham County resident
  • 60 years of age or older
  • Homebound, except for medical appointments
  • Experiencing difficulty with meal preparation
  • Lack anyone willing or able to provide a noonday meal

As the demand for meals increases and the population of older adults grows, we maintain a waiting list for the Meals on Wheels service. We are thankful for all the community support that helps fund this program.
The ADTS Meals on Wheels program proudly receives funding and support from the United Way of Rockingham County!
